Associate Professor Sinead Barry is a highly experienced gynaecologist with over two decades of dedicated work in women’s health. She is known for her patient-centred approach, taking time to truly listen, understand each individual’s needs and goals, and providing care that is as unique as the women she supports. Sinead recognises that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to gynaecology, and she is committed to making a real difference in her patients’ lives.
Sinead completed her medical training in Dublin, is a current staff specialist at Redcliffe Hospital, and has previously served as Head of Department at both Goulburn Valley Health in Victoria and Redcliffe Hospital. Her career has included six years dedicated to women’s cancer as part of her surgical training.
Sinead’s clinical expertise spans the full breadth of gynaecology and offers expertise in persistent pelvic pain, menstrual disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, miscarriage, recurrent miscarriage, contraception, infertility, endometriosis, abnormal cervical screening, vulval disorders and has a strong interest in menopause and perimenopause.
In addition to her clinical role, Sinead is an Associate Professor at Griffith University and holds a PhD from University College Dublin, reflecting her commitment to advancing the field of women’s health through research and education.
