Liz is a Senior Psychologist with over 30 years’ experience supporting individuals across a wide range of clinical settings. She is deeply passionate about working with women and people assigned female at birth (AFAB), helping them better understand their mental health, feel validated in their experiences, and feel more empowered in their healthcare journey.
Across her career, Liz has worked in private practice, hospital settings, pain management services, Defence, and digital health platforms. This breadth of experience enables her to confidently support people with complex and intersecting presentations, including the psychological impacts of chronic pain, trauma, hormonal changes, and long-term health conditions.
Liz has particular expertise in women’s mental health and frequently supports clients navigating anxiety, low mood, trauma, persistent pain, and significant life transitions. She works extensively with individuals impacted by endometriosis, PCOS, menopause, infertility, and other reproductive or hormonal health challenges. She brings a strong mind–body perspective to therapy and recognises how physical health, hormones, and lived experience influence emotional wellbeing.
Her approach is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based. Liz tailors therapy to each person’s needs and goals, ensuring clients are active participants in shaping their care. She draws on approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and somatic-based techniques.
Liz is highly experienced in delivering therapy via telehealth and values technology-enabled care models that improve access and continuity of support. She works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to support integrated, multidisciplinary care.
She provides an inclusive, affirming, and sex-positive therapeutic space, offering non-judgmental care that respects diversity across gender identity, sexuality, culture, neurodiversity, and lived experience. Her values strongly align with Hazel’s mission to deliver respectful, accessible women’s healthcare.
Outside of work, Liz enjoys spending time in nature and prioritising activities that support balance and wellbeing. She enjoys cycling, hiking, and camping, and recently completed a volunteer Puppy Carer role with Assistance Dogs Australia — an experience she found especially meaningful.
